In line with attempts to find superior performance using multimodal biometric systems, different methods of fusing individual biometric data have been attempted. As noted from previous chapters, the performance of individual biometric systems has been improved by refinements in feature extraction methods. In order to achieve the maximum possible accuracy out of authentication process, scores from the biometric traits have been combined in various ways. This chapter discusses 6 different fusion scenarios by employing matcher specific weighting on the scores obtained from 5 different biometric traits.
